My Daily Journal Post -December 4, 2025
Drama isn’t just the loud people.
It’s not just the friend who lives inside a storm, or the co-worker who turns every molehill into Mount Everest.
Drama is everywhere now.
It’s baked into the news cycle.
It’s hiding in every scroll on social media.
It’s disguised as “updates,” “urgent alerts,” “breaking stories.”
It’s the endless noise demanding your attention… even when none of it actually serves you.
And sometimes — let’s be honest — drama comes from right inside our own walls.
Kids going a hundred directions at once, school chaos, teenage emotions, younger ones melting down for reasons nobody can explain.
Family life is beautiful.
But it is not quiet.
And if you’re not intentional, you start absorbing all of it — the world’s noise, the online madness, the household storms — until suddenly your mind is cluttered, your spirit is heavy, and your focus is shot.
So today, I’m reminding myself of something simple:
You don’t have to participate in every bit of chaos that shows up in your orbit.
You can silence the news.
You can unplug from the feed.
You can breathe through your kids’ wild moments without letting them derail your energy.
You can stand firm while the world spins like a carnival ride.
And as my wife always tells me,
“Don’t join the circus.”
Protect your peace like it’s a rare commodity.
Because it is.
There’s always going to be drama — from people, from screens, from the world, even from the little ones you love more than life itself.
But you get to choose what you carry…
and what you refuse to let in.
